Summary:
Wireless Development of CDMA 1xRTT and EV DO Base station product.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Development of Call Processing Software and protocol layers for CDMA EV-DO and 1xRTT
Development of IPsec and related protocols to provide Security for higher layer protocols and applications
Development in IP Networking in areas of L2 switching, VLAN, PPPoE, DSCP, IP QoS, and VoIP related domains like SIP and RTP
Understanding and interpreting the 3GPP2 CDMA EV-DO and 1xRTT wireless standards and write software to implement them.
Responsibilities would include understanding software requirements, coding, unit testing, integration and QA support.
Would be involved in the full life cycle of the product development.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Knowledge of CDMA protocol stacks for EV-DO and 1xRTT voice and data including PCF and PDSN interfaces.
Knowledge of IP and IPsec related protocols like TCP/UDP/GRE/PPP/IKE/DHCP/SIP/RTP/RTCP. Knowledge of IMS is a plus.
Must have a strong C++ background in embedded Linux environment with excellent debugging skills.
Expert in developing communications software using OO techniques in a multithreading environment.
Need to have good communication skills and must be able to work with multiple cross functional teams across geographical locations.

Education/Experience:

Bachelors / Masters with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

· Manage and execute Consumer Platform deployment between all environments including coordination of production releases with operations.
· Create, maintain and manage software deployment automation.
· Responsible for gathering, tracking, supplying and training of all the Y!tools (i.e. stagecoach, buildyblock, yidf, igor, yinst etc.) that are required to develop and build software.
· Backup for software continuous integration and build automation when necessary.

Requirements:
· Bachelor degree in IT, CS, or related technical discipline
· Proven 3-5+ years experience as a Linux/Unix release engineer
· Proven experience developing software build and deployment plan and strategies.
· Has led or initiated a software release or configuration process across multiple environments (Development, QA, Production)
· Knowledge of agile SDLC, software configuration management practices, release management methodologies and production deployment.
· Expert skills building, packaging and distribution of signed packages written in Java, C++ and Php using yinst, IGOR, key packages etc.
· Expert scripting skills such as Perl
· Experiences with Maven and GNU make.
· Expert with at least one source control system such as Subversion, CVS or Perforce
· Experience with continuous integration systems and post build steps.
· Strong leadership skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills also required
