Risk Management is a three-step approach at Intelligroup, involving risk identification,
risk understanding, and contingency plan, including disaster recovery. The company has a disaster recovery policy plan that is  periodically tested to identify, protect, reconstruct or salvage Intelligroup’s vital and historical data and to establish procedures for the immediate resumption of business operations in the event of a disaster. Intelligroup’s disaster recovery team is responsible for laying down the procedures to recover and resume the operations in the event of a disaster and review the policies and procedures from time to time. In the event of various disasters / worst-case scenarios, a BCP is in place to ensure that work is not entirely disrupted or brought to a standstill. In order to mitigate risk and minimize the possibility of disruption to services, production is spread over four units in two different cities. In order to mitigate risks arising out of rising costs, declining rates, changes in exchange rates, competition from other countries, changes in laws and trade regulations, changes in diplomatic ties between countries, etc. and to ensure continuity of the business in the long term  tie-ups have taken place with multiple US MTSO’s to generate the requisite work volumes.  Moving up the service value chain to other healthcare BPO activities like coding and billing are also being actively pursued which are prevalent in most countries even outside the US. In order to reduce risks due to technological problems,  a combination of various types of hardware and software are used as well as bandwidth and ASP services from multiple service providers so as to reduce the dependence on any one provider.

Hardware and infrastructure are all fully redundant having multiple backup options. The company has site redundancy at its 4 locations. Servers have dual processors, dual power supply, multiple hot swappable hard disks and there is a separate back up server. Infovision has a 512 kbps internet connectivity through leased line backed up by ISDN and PSTN dial up. Client hotlines are provided at each location through direct landlines in the production area as well as through wireless lines with the production supervisors.
