Laser Soft has a well-defined business continuity plan that enables non-stop services for its customers based on the service level agreement drawn and accepted. Redundancies are built in hardware components where the production / development of application software takes place. Source code is kept at different locations and in the event of any disaster the source from other locations are reloaded at the main development center. Continuous upgrades and enhancements that are taking place in the main development center get replicated at other locations to ensure uniformity of the application software. Laser Soft
has a disaster recovery plan that is a comprehensive statement of consistent actions to be taken before, during and after a disaster. The plan is documented and tested to ensure continuity of operations and availability of critical resources in the event of a disaster. Business Continuity


The power supply in the company premises is segmented with different circuits and with adequate circuit breaks. Generators, manned by qualified technicians for 24 x 7,  back power from the public distribution grid. The facility is fitted with fire alarms, fire extinguishers, water sprinklers and manned by trained personnel. High
capacity UPS is used for distributing the power uniformly and ensure continuous power supply. Regular, planned and surprise audits are conducted for potential risks. Also, standby servers and spare parts are maintained inhouse. As part of its offsite backup plan, all server and hard disk contents is backed up regularly. The back-up schedule covers daily, weekly, monthly backups. Backup data is maintained through log and version control. Access, retrievability and traceability of back up data is managed through well laid out procedure. Mock runs are done to ensure the validity of backup procedures and norms. The parent companies of Lapiz are around 50 years old and are financially strong. The management of Lapiz has long term commitment to this business and therefore business continuity is
