Business Continuity
Overall Approach to meet contingency planning: Bristlecone has global operations with offices at San Jose, Mumbai, Pune and Bangalore. All offices have high bandwidth Internet connectivity with mesh topology. This enables redundancy and business continuity in times of outages. The Mesh topology ensures that if one of the locations has any issues the alternate line is open so that the services are quickly routed through the alternate line. Bristlecone also proposes to leverage IPSec based VPN connectivity to ensure that contingency planning is reasonably secured.
Ongoing improvement of the overall business continuity/disaster recovery plans: Auditing the overall business continuity /disaster recovery plans at periodic intervals ensures that the existing plan is in line with the requirements. Also, the findings from the audit reports help in contributing to the ongoing improvement.
The audit comprises of a questionnaire that would broadly cover the following areas: IT infrastructure contingency, network contingency, specific application contingency, application back up practices, power supply contingency, and PC and small system contingency
