Symphony in India has put in place a disaster recovery plan which ensures that our IP assets and our customers’ information assets are protected against any disaster.

Our Hyderabad office uses our Mumbai office as the back up site for offsite backup. This backup is done once a week and sent to Mumbai office on CDs. The CDs are read and copied to the Mumbai server and backed up on a daily basis.

A daily backup of all the changes done to the code and database are copied to tape and kept outside the office at Hyderabad on a daily basis. These are recycled on a weekly basis. Similarly, weekly backups are maintained for upto 6 weeks before recycling.

On the infrastructure side, we have redundant servers, UPS and generator backup to eliminate power related problems as well as system malfunction

Symphony has multiple servers within each location which can take over in case of failure of any server. We isolate our internal development servers from mail and messaging servers by firewalls and keeping them separate.
