Educational Qualification/relevant Experience :

The candidate should possess a degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field (B.Tech/B.E, M.Sc/M.Tech, MCA) with total experience of 5- 8 Years out of which 3+ years are on Teradata V2 R 5 and above.

In addition, the candidate would possess :
· Good understanding of DW concepts including star schema, facts, dimensions, Staging area etc.
· Expertise in data warehousing, ETL programming, and fulfillment of data warehouse project tasks including data extraction, cleansing, transforming and loading.
· Must have hands-on experience with job scheduling, monitoring etc
· Must be a self starter able to work on a list of objectives without supervision and manage multiple tasks & assignments as a team player with effective communication skills

· Well conversant with features and limitation of Teradata SQL

Job Description

Teradata Programmer/Technical Lead

Responsible for providing requisite technical/programming expertise on support of Teradata (V2 R 5 and above) Data-warehouse environment.

Role and Key Responsibilities :
· Provide expertise in the domain of Teradata utilities like Multi Load, Fast Load, Fast Export, BTEQ, Teradata Pump, with UNIX/Windows platform. Load/Unload Utilities, embedded SQL, OLAP functions, UNIX & Shell Scripting, SQL Tuning skills, Stored Procedures.
· Development of Teradata procedures and debugging complex procedure code. Analyze and build SQL query and assist in performance tuning.
· Troubleshooting and addressing production issues in Teradata (V2 R5 and above) Database environment like bug fixing, Performance Tuning and Enhancements. Must have relevant experience working in a production support environment & related processes
