Technical Skills:

1. Strong in database concepts and fundamentals
2. Design methodologies
- Understand Business need and translate the same into appropriate Design
- From External to Conceptual model and then to Logical to Physical model
- Data Modeling, Design Patterns, Design Tools, UML, etc
- Exposure to Data Warehouse systems - SSIS, SSAS, MDX
- Capacity planning and adopt new technologies
3. Core Development
- Experience in writing database objects like Stored Procedures, Functions, Views, etc
- Adopt new technologies and bring in innovation based on need
- Should have flair for active development
4. Performance and Quality
- Troubleshooting and addressing Performance challenges
- Enforce Best Practices and formulate Quality Standard
- Process driven and adhere Quality standards
- Implement code review practices and mentor team

Product / Project Support:

1. Troubleshoot Escalations/Change Request and Production support
2. Focus on improving Quality of Product / Project
3. Facilitate preparation of data fix scripts to maintain data integrity
4. Deployment exposure and addressing challenges
5. Exposure to .NET Technology would be useful
