Kyocera Wireless (India) Private Limited (KWI), a 100% subsidiary of Kyocera Wireless Corp was established on April 1, 2003 with the staff strength of 30 under the leadership of its founder member Samartha Raghava Nagabhushanam and currently employs more than 550 people. KWI's strong engineering team is complemented by KWC sales group that has provided handsets to India's four largest CDMA carriers Reliance, Tata Teleservices, BSNL, and MTNL. Kyocera also assembles phones in India through a partnership with XL Telecom. Kyocera Wireless Corp, is engaged in the development of CDMA wireless handsets. KWI is involved in Software Engineering, Product Testing and Research & Development activities in India. KWI is SEI CMMI Level 3 and ISO-9001-2000 certified Company.
KWI set up a Customer Care Organisation in 2005 with a network of 301. Authorized Service Centers and 104 collection points spread across India. KWI also has a full-fledged Level 4 service center in Bangalore where component level repairs CDMA phones can be done.
