Junior Technical Engineer - Unix/Linux/Solaris/AIX/HP-UX
Responsibilities:
- Should be able to Create, modify, lock, reset and delete User accounts.
- Monitoring password expiry dates and takes action accordingly.
- Effectively monitor disk usage, Add disk space, Increase space on File >System, Cleanup spaces when they hit threshold, interact with uses and get cleared old and not necessary Files and Directories.
- Assign ownership of users and groups on files and directories as per the approval process.
- Continuously monitor the System for Log messages, Alerts and act accordingly.
- Understand the scripts that are running and be aware of their functionality.
- Should be able to write Shell scripts as per Business requirement.
KRA :-
- Should be in a position to check for Vulnerabilities on the Server and apply necessary tactics to Harden the OS.
- Should be good enough to debug a breakdown and come up with quick resolution.
Desired Profile :
- Candidate should be a BE/BTech/BSc Computers/Diploma 10+2+3/MCA with 0-2 Year of Experience with Certification done.
Qualifications:
- Solaris Certified System Administrator (Mandatory) Level I & II.
- Advance Knowledge on Storage and Performance Tuning.
- Scripting Language: Ksh, Csh, Bash, and Perl.
- Seasoned Solaris Administrator with experience on hands free installation, good troubleshooting and admin skills
-In-depth Knowledge on Veritas Volume Manager and File System.
- Worked on Veritas Cluster Services.
- EMC Storage Host Integration and Management.
- Powerpath.
