JAVA
Should be strong in Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets
Should have hands on experience with Databases
Technically strong in J2EE, Struts, Experience using a framework such as Spring, Hibernate is a plus.
Should be strong in Designing and Design patterns.
.NET
Expertise in Designing and developing .Net applications. (High Level Design or any tier architecture)
Hands on experience in 2 or more of the following skills-ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, XML, Webservices.
OOAD Design experience is a must.
