Job Description :
There is a Technical Helpdesk Department of IBM, located in Banglore. The work of this department is to Provide support (Technical/Non-Technical) to all the Internal employees of IBM, across India. It supports 24*7 environment.
Responsibilities :
1. Operating System - Windows XP Pro General Troubleshooting and awareness about common problems
2. Logical Approach to resolve problems
3. Basic Conceptual/Functional knowledge of TCP/IP Networks - IP Address, DNS, DHCP, Gateway, Proxy, OSI Layers, Subnets, Netmask, VPN, RAS etc.
4. Desired but not essential - Lotus Notes 6.x and later versions, Lotus Domino Working Know hows
5. MS-Office Proficiency - Very good knowledge of Excel & Word
6. Basic Understanding of Internet, Emails, Chat and very good skills of searching things on Internet Attitude:
Should be comfortable working in a large team in multilevel hierarchy environment
Should be self-motivated, energetic and smart thinker
Should be growth oriented and should have set some short term and long term goals
Should have a focus for his career
