Designation Senior System Software Engineer - Windows Device Driver
Job Description - Design, implement and debug kernel mode drivers and systems software (primarily on Windows OS)
- Work with other teams within NVIDIA to root-cause/resolve software issues
- Provide Debug directions and Technical Decisions to less experienced team members
- Communicate with NVIDIA Program Managers, QA, AE teams to address support queries related to software
- Develop, enhance and maintain new features and tools
Secondary scope of work includes:
- Analyze and propose improvements to product and to processes to increase team productivity
Desired Profile
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant industry exp (Please exclude projects done at various institutes/college)
- Windows Device Driver / Systems level coding and debugging experience
- Detailed knowledge of operating system internals, C/C++ language, solid understanding of PC architecture
- Strong written and oral communication skills: To interface with other engineers; Collect and summarize data points/test results from various sources
- Passion to solve Customer reported problems and good Debugging / problem solving aptitude
- Should have the commitment to help us deliver high quality software on schedule
- Master/Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Related Engineering discipline
Optional Requirements
- More than 6 months experience on Vista
- Experience with complex system debug, 2D/3D graphics, ACPI, and hardware level debug
- SDK development experience including APIs and middleware
- Experience in debugging user mode software
- Familiarity with development and debugging on prototype hardware
