Job Description
Role: Sr. Developer
Experience: 3.5 to 7 years
Essential: C++, MFC, ATL, XML, COM, Some Oracle and MS SQL Server administration, Server editions of MS Windows
Proactive and reliable with excellent communication and team-working skills
Preferable: GIS / OGC knowledge would be highly advantageous, COM+, .NET, ASP or ASP.NET, Web Services experience, Extensive Oracle and MS SQL Server experience, Use of UML to aid the design process. Experience of writing functional specifications
Desired Candidate Profile
Working within a team of developers on analytical solutions primarily targeted at the emergency services environment. Our software is based around Geographic Information System (GIS) solutions and the display and analysis of location based information. The work involves input to all stages of the development life cycle, from requirements review and estimation through design to coding and delivery of a quality solution. We work closely with product strategy, customer support, QA testing and implementation teams, and have close links with the end users to ensure we deliver the solutions they need.
