Team Leader - Software Development

Desired Candidate Profile

-3 to 5 years of experience in managing complex and diverse .NET and Projects based on SharePoint Technologies. Candidates who had done project co-ordination with clients from UK and USA will be preferred
-Knowledge of W3C and Web 2.0 standards with its practical implementation
-Hands on experience in .NET application based on collaboration and portal technologies like Windows Share Point Services (WSS)
- Should have broad experience in Programming on ASP.NET (2.0/3.5), WPF, WCF, C#, LINQ, MS SQL (2005/2008), Ajax, Web Services, XML projects
-Functional and technical expertise with SharePoint Programming and Customization- WWF, Web Part, Work flow, Portal customization, and single sign on would be preferred
-Expert in MS SQL Server programming including database object creation/alteration, complex queries, stored procedures, DTS scripts, indexing, Query and Database tuning etc
- Working knowledge of ISO/CMMI Process, System Development Life Cycle and project management methodology and tools
- Ability to implements IT policies and procedures; must be familiar with system scope and business policies and objectives to effectively manage project
- Proven ability to estimate and manage project deliverable s on schedule
- Must be able to utilize analytical skills to conceptualize and envision the impact of change, and propose new ways to do business
- Must have strong communications and interpersonal skills with an ability to lead and direct others.
- Preference to candidates who have knowledge of MS SQL Database Design and Programming.
-The person should be self motivated individual with a high drive to achieve and get results from themselves and the teams with which they work.

Job Description

- Plan, direct and coordinate activities of software projects and ensures that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives
-- Broad experience with .NET Framework to include .NET 2.0 and ASP.NET 2.0/3.0/3.5, SQL 2005/2008
- Define scope, estimates and project resources: monitor progress according to plan, identify and coordinate resolution of issues, reporting progress and escalating problems when necessary. Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule; monitors progress and modify schedules as required. Effectively coordinate with the various teams (Business, External systems, Production Support, DBAs, and Developers).
- Apply solid understanding of prevailing methods, principles, and techniques of a System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in a single technical area or business function .Develop functional specifications of changes, enhancements, and interfaces
-Develop test scenarios and perform functional & regression testing and document test results. Work with business to perform User Acceptance Testing
-Work with key I.T Team members to document scope statements, use case, define business requirements, perform analysis and provide recommendations for new systems or modifications and reconfiguration of current systems
- Work on diverse software projects of complex size, scope, and complexity
- Develop project plans, specifying goals, approach, staffing, deliverable s, milestones, risks, contingency plans and communication plans
- Identify and work to resolve issues and obstacles, escalating where necessary for resolution
- Co-ordinate with client and / or project teams on systems solutions, and has responsibility for the completion of such project / program deliverable s such as: requirements and definitions, feasibility and needs / impact assessments, functional specifications, database design, system and technical architecture definition, monitoring / change control, progress tracking and management, implementation, testing, training, documentation, and development
- Oversee implementation tasks, including quality assurance testing and planning, documentation and training
- Report status and keeps management informed of progress, issues and results
-Person will be responsible for providing functional/technical expertise and for providing the know-how to make the applications more viable and robust
- Perform post implementation activities, including transition plans, lessons learned and Project Maintenance
