Candidate should possess BE/BTech degree in CS and Information science or Electronics or an equivalent degree from a reputed university. At least 2-3 years working experience on Apple technologies such as Cocoa API, Objective C and OOAD. Excellent communication skills (oral/written). Analytical thinker. Independant executer of tasks. Ability to think out of the box and innovate. An output oriented but R&D mindset. Able to work independantly or as part of a team - depending on job requirements.
Job Description
The incumbent should have knowledge in the following skills: Have a good knowledge of Objective-C, which is the main language used to develop Mac OS X apps. Useful if one has knowledge of C and a good understanding of Object Oriented Programming. Has to be familiar with Cocoa Touch, the framework on top of which one is going to develop. This framework makes extensive use of some design patterns, which the incumbent must fully understand (MVC, delegation, etc.) The tool one will use for development will be Xcode, the development environment for Mac OS Apps. Experience in working with the SDK and the device emulator which allows one to run and debug the app on a computer, instead of uploading the app to the iphone each time one wants to run it. Xcode only runs on Mac. The current version of the iPhone SDK (beta 8) requires Mac OS X 10.5.3/Leopard (not Tiger). Knowledge of this and experience working on Leopard OS is critical.
