• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or commensurate DB2 systems programming experience.
• Five or more years experience in DB2 Systems Programming .
• Must have experience upgrading DB2 versions including DB2 v9.
• Excellent analytical ability.
• Above average oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in several programming languages. e.g. Assembler, COBOL, SQL, etc.
• Experience with program product installation and support.
• Proficient in the use of DB2 diagnostic, maintenance and monitoring tools. E.g. SMP/E, CA-Platinum, IBM DB2Utilties, Omegamon, etc.
• Ability to coach junior and intermediate level systems programmers and perform in a team oriented work group.

Job Description
LEAD DB2 SYSTEM PROGRAMMER
Position Description: (Provide a brief description of the responsibilities of the position)
A Lead DB2 System Programmer performs work involving the understanding of complex transactional support systems software which includes diagnosing and solving problems associated with multi-LPAR and Parallel Sysplex environments. Tasks include planning, installation, customization, testing and administration of DB2 and program products that support these environments. This individual will:
• Install and deploy DB2 systems to meet business requirements.
• Interface with clients to resolve system problems and provide technical advice.
• Install and deploy DB2 related utilities and program product sets.
• Develop and maintain standards for DB2 administration and exploitation.
• Support AXA Tech existing DB2 infrastructure.
• Perform DB2 product planning to maintain currency and exploit new features.
Minimum Requirements:
