Position Summary

In this position you will be responsible for managing/leading the planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment of one or more global HR projects .

Core Responsibilities: (those responsibilities essential for success in the job)

• Develops and maintains a productive working relationship with project sponsors, customers, vendors and other key stakeholders to ensure technology projects are aligned with HRT and HR Strategies.
• Applies Honeywell HR and IT process and project methodology (One HITS process, HRDP and six-sigma tools) to plan and execute projects.
• Manages gathering of project requirements and identification of appropriate technology for applications
• Provides formalized, continuing work direction and leadership to assigned team members including scheduling, assignment of work, and review of project work
• Takes action on potential risks and issues and provides proposals for solutions to senior management if escalation is required
• Assesses variances from the plan and develops and implements changes as necessary to ensure project meets time, cost and quality objectives
• Conducts formal customer checkpoints at agreed upon dates to confirm acceptance and satisfaction and gain approval to move on to the next project phase
• Perform day-to-day Cognos administration and production support activities -Create, maintain analyze and fine-tune statistics related to Manage reporting queues and prioritization
• Installation, upgrades and patches of Cognos software (Windows environment)
• Technical, functional and performance assessment of all developed solutions
• Manage schedules and updates to cubes and reports in production -Monitor system usage and performance to identify optimization opportunities
• Communicate/coordinate efforts across Cognos development project teams
• Develop/maintain clear and concise documentation on all work performed -Train/transition knowledge/documentation to the entire Cognos team.
• Communicate/coordinate efforts with Cognos application owners and development teams.

Qualifications

IBM/Cognos

• Experienced in Cognos 8 BI Administration, Content Administration, Dispatcher and Services configuration
• Experienced in Cognos Deployment/Migration
• Experienced in Cognos Report Studio and Analysis Studio and other BI tools
• Experienced in Cognos Security creating and implementing
• Experienced in Cognos external authentication providers. (LDAP or Active Directory)
• Experienced in Cognos Transformer and its batch process
• Experienced in Oracle SQL
• Experienced in distribute installation environments
• Experienced in install patches and monitor system performance.
• Experienced in software upgrades.
• Experienced in apply optimization techniques to improve performance.
• Knowledge in both Unix and Windows environments
• Efficient in windows-based tools, including MS Excel and MS Access

Oracle BI

• Experienced in OBI installation and configurations
• Experienced in all aspects of Data Warehousing architectures, methodologies and information delivery services.
• Experience includes working with multi-dimensional data structures and OLAP technologies.
• Understand OBIEE Analytic Environment (RPD, Reports, dashboards)
• Understand OBIEE client tool DAC
• Understand Informatica 7.4.1 and higher ETL processes
• Understand the relationship among Informatica, DAC and OBIEE tools (answers) and how processes work.
• Knowledge in both Unix and Windows environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• At least 5+ years Information Technology experience.

Additional Responsibilities (may include):

• Maintain expertise in trends, products, and services available for the application of technology to HR processes
• Manage global out-sourced application development team(s)
• Manage external Vendor relationships and SLA’s

Preferred Qualifications
• 2+ years experience working with Human Resources technology
• Technical knowledge of PeopleSoft application development framework
• Experience in key roles including programmer and functional analyst
• Strong relationship management skills
• Ability to manage technology vendor relationships
• Ability to conceptualize and communicate business needs and translate them into actionable proposals
• Ability to coordinate action from groups outside of direct reporting lines to resolve issues
• Ability to influence and promote ideas
