At IBS, risk assessment is done periodically and a risk plan is created in place for the projects/departments. New risk areas are identified and accordingly BCP is modified. Its warm disaster recovery site is at Kochi and backed up data is periodically recovered by it. DRP  for all critical services and servers is available and these are reviewed periodically. The company also has in place escalation matrix and incidence response procedures.  Centralized anti-virus protection is in place for the entire IBS network wherein the  central servers updates the DAT Files on clients automatically without user intervention.The DAT Files are updated   automatically everyday.

IT & Telecom Infrastructure

IBS has a network security policy in place and the company is equipped with muti-tier firewall architecture with hot standby. It has a fully redundant  BGP auto routed  multi-hop  gateway  for internet routed traffic.The pipe is of 2 mbps from VSNL. High end servers running on Windows 2000, AIX and Sun Solaris are used for development and production. The class of Servers are  HP Proliant, IBM AIX , IBM RS 6000 and Sun.

IT Projects


•    Leo MTS - Mail tracking system to manage and track mails carried by Qantas Freight on its vast network. The mail tracking system will support bar code scanning to improve timeliness and efficiency, and will also have the capability to exchange electronic messages on consignments with Postal Administrations and other carriers
•    axsResource - Resource Management System that predicts the total workload in a dynamic work environment and assists the creation of shifts/roster for optimal coverage of the work and assignment of tasks to the resources. Built to support the airport operations, but can be extended to other work situations also.
•    Chameleon - Chameleon is a state-of-the art technology product that supports a host of requirements for a Cargo Handling agent, which includes accepting cargo for export, reserving and executing air waybills, warehouse management, building up cargo for a flight, breakdown of cargo coming on a flight and delivery of import cargo.
•    GHFS - A Flight Scheduling and Reservation system which will facilitate sharing of resources across various companies,will facilitate the scheduling of helicopters and reservation of passengersa and which will contain a partly reusable Queuing and Workflow Engine
