Company Profile
The vision to start the International Tech Park in Bangalore originated during the meeting in 1992 between the then Prime Minister of India, Mr P V Narasimha Rao and the then Prime Minister of Singapore (presently Senior Minister), Mr Goh Chok Tong. The idea was given a further boost when the Chairman of Singapore’s Economic Development Board, Mr Philip Yeo led a business delegation in July 1993, to India. This joint venture between India and Singapore led to the incorporation of the company, Information Technology Park Limited (ITPL). ITPL has created a one-stop shop integrating commercial, residential and recreational facilities in a single location, set amidst a refreshing and aesthetically appealing environment. The 28 hectares (2,80,000 sq m) International Tech Park, Bangalore located in Whitefield -– 12 kms from Bangalore Airport and 18 kms from the city -- as on date comprises of five buildings -–Discoverer, Innovator, Creator, Explorer and Inventor totaling close to 1.9 million sq ft of office, production and retail space. The Park also houses one residential tower of 51 apartments, which has been fully sold. The Park is developed and managed to the international standards of hi-tech companies in the fields of information technology, bioinformatics, telecommunication, electronic, electrical and other similar industries. This dedication to meet high standards has earned the Park the award of World Teleport Property of the Year.
