5+yrs relevant in DB2 DBA with hands on experience in DB2 database administration, backup, db2 utilites, db2 move.
Desired Candidate Profile
DB2 UDB for Linux,Unix and Windows (Universal Database) systems programmer/DBA. Provide Technical expertise as part of a team of technical specialists controlling and supporting various UDB database environments and software products. Duties and Responsibilities: • Undertake the evaluation, testing, implementation and maintenance of DB2 UDB for LUW software products and services. • Provide professional consultation to management and internal clients on technical issues associated with the DB2 UDB database, and associated software products. • Conduct complex DB2 UDB database systems technical reviews to improve performance, resource utilisation and integrity. • Provide second tier technical support as required to meet defined service targets. Required to perform overtime activities and on-call support. • Provide technical instruction to other team members. • Specify, design and develop utility programs as required to support to DB2 UDB environment; and consult on their implementation and usage. • Investigate and resolve problems arising in all aspects of the DB2 UDB environment. • Investigate, and provide solutions to, technical issues concerning the management and utilisation of UDB software products. • Liase and manage clients satisfaction on technical issues. • Train and share knowledge with team members. Improve the morale of the team during critical situations. • Provide support and guidance to other technical teams around IBM. Desired experience: • Comprehensive and expert knowledge of DB2 UDB database architecture and software products, including a detailed knowledge of UDB internals and database recovery techniques.
